Can you remap a Porsche 992 Carrera 2 as fast as a Porsche 992 Turbo

Can you get the same PS or HP from a Porsche 992 Carrera 2 as you get from a Porsche 992 Turbo? You can do an engine remap to upgrade performance and change the PS on a Porsche 992.

I have discovered that it is already possible for companies to change the engine mapping on a Porsche 992 without mechanical changes. This improves the Porsche 992 performance figures. The 992 Carrera already comes with 385 PS or 380 HP but companies have be able to change the engine map to deliver a higher PS closer to the entry 992 Turbo.

I have discovered 2 companies who can develop PS as high as 510 and 570 but changing the cars engine map directly. I have also found a less fixed solution via a plug in system that will deliver 80 PS taking it to 465 PS. This solution can be changed at any time to return the stock Porsche engine map.

When making modifications to any car you need to consider both the manufacturers warranty and also the insurance company. If you have the car on finance you may also need to check if you are allowed to make modifications.

When I have looked at upgrading the Porsche 992 with more performance I checked the Porsche 992 Turbo standard options. The Turbo comes with larger wheels and bigger front brakes with larger discs all round. So if I were to upgrade the 992 Carrera 2 I would need to improve the brakes also. Adding larger brakes would also mean I may need larger wheels.

I have looked at the genuine Porsche parts options for both the brakes and larger wheels and worked out the highest cost for improving the 992 C2 performance. Is it worth the value to try and bring the performance closer to the 992 Turbo? Check out the video and see what the options cost.
